London to Paris

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

I have just had an email from the NSPCC team and this is an extract from it:

‘I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for your London – Paris Cycle ride. As it stands you have all helped to raise over £45,000 and this total is still rising!
This money you have raised will make it possible to answer around 12,000 calls to ChildLine or pay for 450 in depth therapy sessions with a vulnerable family. On behalf of all the children and vulnerable families we work with – thank you.’

As you can see a fantastic fund raisng effort. Thank you to all my/our sponsors!

Building update 2

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

We now have two, two metre deep holes in what was the reception and garage to allow for the removal of an irritating pillar which was smack bang in the middle of the new open plan reception area.

We are trying to avoid meetings here at DW for obvious reasons, please bear with us whilst Peter’s vision is realised.

Cheesy Riders

Friday, June 18th, 2010

“Designworks’ motorbike gang, the “Cheesy Riders” recently returned from their first international ride-out to the MotoGP at Le Mans, France.

Blessed with great weather, and empty, smooth roads, the trip was a great success.  There is already talk of a return trip in the future!

Tres Bien!”

Grand designs(works)

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

It is all go here in the dw windsor office. Peter has a vision and we are making some  interior alterations to the building with which result in more space for all areas of the business. Along side this we will be introducing new working practises to aid the flow of projects from concept through to prototype. For those people that have been here previously and can remember the building the next time you visit you will experience a larger meeting area underneath the design studio!, it’s hard to imagine at the moment.

Please forgive the banging and crashing if you are on the phone to us, we are trying to limit building work within our office hours but it’s inevitable.

The reception and material storage area have already been knocked into one large open space as the photos show – we are all crammed in behind the black wall . Stay tuned for further developments!
